Dear Students:

Welcome to the Albert Campbell English Department web page. Hopefully, the information you find here will answer some of your questions and clarify departmental policies. This, in turn, will help you to be successful in your English courses throughout your stay at A.C.C.I.

While the content of English courses focuses on a variety of literary genres (short stories, novels, plays, poetry, essays and electronic media), behind the content is an emphasis on critical thinking skills, reading strategies, oral and written communication skills, research skills and reflective understanding of learning that will serve you in all your other courses and beyond your high school career. This emphasis is reflected in the assessment and evaluation of your work throughout the semester.

Our job is to help you to fulfill your potential here at Campbell and beyond. Do not hesitate to ask your English teacher for clarification or extra help with course work.
